Merrill's career
affords him many privileges of meeting people and spreading the
gospel in a very unique way in every part of the world, crossing all
boundaries that limit most mortal men. Those that attend his
concerts come to watch their favorite performer entertain and leave
with a sense of love and light. Often times they are not even
certain what it is that they felt and this leaves them questioning
just what it is that they experienced that was beyond the great
entertainment. In his concerts, Merrill reache s
out to those who would never attend a church service or have fallen
away because
of trials and adversity. He assists those that come to see him
comprehend that their faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to
successfully find the peace they are looking for. That faith alone
can bring them out of their life's circumstances into the peace and
joy they so crave. During the concerts he takes time to connect with
his audience. If he perceives someone in the crowd might be
suffering he will search them out and talk to them about the gospel
in such a manner that it invariably leaves them seeking more. |

I have never observed another individual in my life
that has more unconditional love for another human
being than Merrill Osmond, during my seven years
working as his assistant. Throughout our lives,
we often make judgments based on outward
appearances, opinions of others, or “first
impressions”. It’s the human thing to do.
I’m convinced that Merrill sees the hearts and
souls, overlooking the myriad of flaws humans
possess. I
have learned so much from him, on the value of a
soul.
There is nothing that he won’t do, or no one that
he won’t reach out to, if he feels they are in
need, or needs a kind word, or a healing touch.
He reaches out to people with a love that I’ve
never seen. He reaches out with the unconditional
love and mercy that Jesus has taught us to share.
There are numerous fans and friends who recount
feeling the light of Christ shine through him,
something which they could not ignore. This light
encouraged them to find out what Merrill Osmond’s
faith and unconditional spirit was all about.
Merrill’s music is a very essential mechanism for
communicating that faith and spirit.
Merrill Osmond, who despite amazing success in the
entertainment world, has suffered with many
afflictions such as depression and loss of
financial wealth. He has lived the message of
overcoming the world and gives to us a message of
hope! Merrill takes any adversity that comes his
way, as a means to a greater learning of God's
ways. Merrill is truly an instrument in God's
hands. Given any opportunity, Merrill will labor
toward the continuation of bringing God's lost

Merrill
Osmond is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician whose career
as a
performing artist has spanned over 48
years!
In collaboration with his brothers, Merrill has
written the music and lyrics for five number one hit records
and sang lead to the group's collective 27 gold records - many
of which he shared the production credits. Collectively the
Osmonds have produced 47 platinum and gold records. In the
history of the rock era, no other recording artists have
earned as many gold records in one year as the Osmond family.
Not even the
Beatles
were able to receive eleven gold award certificates in one
year, but the Osmonds still hold that record today.
Merrill has received two “People’s Choice
Awards,” four number #1 “Billboard Hits,” and two “Grammy
Award” nominations. His entertainment career has spanned over
45 years and his remarkable achievements have also earned him
notable recognition and honorable titles such as one of the
“Ten Outstanding Men,” 1982 for the United States Jaycees.
Merrill Osmond’s powerful influence in the
music and entertainment industry leaves a legacy that embraces
principles that strengthens families and provides us with a
deep love for God and his Country. He is deeply committed to
the ideals that have powerfully changed the view of the role
we play in the world around us. His talent as a strong leader
has moved him into other productions serving as the executive
producer of the “Donny and Marie Show,” on ABC-TV from the
years of 1976 thru 1979, “The Roy Clark Special,” and “The
Osmond Christmas Family Specials.” In addition he has produced

Merrill’s extraordinary leadership skills have
been recognized by both President Ronald
Reagan and President
George Bush. Both Presidents have requested his expertise in
producing two prominent events, “The Making of an
Inauguration” for President Ronald
Reagan and on behalf of
President George Bush’s Inauguration in 1989, “The Quincentennial Inaugural Ball.” One event that was special to
his heart was, “Operation Family Front,” a special benefit
and television program that provided for the families of
servicemen in Operation Desert Storm in 1991.
Merrill Osmond’s personal aspiration is to
recognize and inspire divine connections that lead individuals
to their greatest potential. The powerful strength of his
commitment moves others to action. His true intentional love
for the lives he touches shows up in his philanthropic work as
the co-founder of the Osmond Foundation, which produces the
“The Children’s Miracle Network Telethon.” He has been awarded
“Honorary Chairman,” and “Medalist,” in his work for the Utah

Story after story pour into his website about how
people were converted to Christ by Merrill's down-to-earth message of unconditional love. One
convert told of reading the book having suffered a
very disparaging childhood, reading the simple
message of, "Do you believe God loves you". She
went through many such questions and came to the
realization that God truly loved her and the
message that came through Merrill was loud and
clear that, yes he does love each of us and no one
should be without the truth of that love. |

In the 70's Merrill, along with his brothers wrote and
recorded an album titled "The Plan". This album was a
compelling collection of songs depicting life from
pre-existence until we are called home to be with our
Heavenly Father. The book "The Plan Revealed"
is about
the creation of this album, the meaning, the trials and
the triumph of seeing "The Plan" finally completed after
many unique obstacles.
Merrill Osmond further used his rare talent of music to
bring a message to the masses in such a way that fans
of Merrill Osmond often say "The Plan" was their saving
grace when times were tough. Whether it was peer
pressure or troubled family lives, "The Plan"
provided them
hope of an eternity where all of their tears and
frustrations would give way to an eternal home of peace
& love. Through song Merrill made this message one all
could understand and embrace.
The words from “The Plan Revealed” even further
encourage those seeking to recognize how God's plan
works in each of our lives individually.

Merrill also
reaches his audience through a series of paintings with Utah artist
Amy Davis. Merrill's concept of paintings, illustrating the
different songs from "The Plan" album that show the stages of life
choices we go through. The painting "The Last Days"
reveals a
desolation of a world with darkness and "Mirror Mirror" the
conflict between choosing the light or the darkness.
Other paintings such as "Goin Home"
illustrate the race
before us in preparation to join our Heavenly Father when this
mortal life has ended. The song, lyrics, "I'm a space man from a
different land, I've gotta get back home." the painting
depicts a man tying
his shoe, with countless others, ready for the race! The look of
confidence on his face that, he will win the race of his life and
return to his Heavenly Father!
"Let Me In"
is a song that most fans consider a love song but it also has the
meaning of letting the Savior back into your life. Lyrics such as
"thought I could live without you, thought I had to look around,"
suggest that we try different avenues in our life that may
take us away from the Savior's love. "Let me In"
parallels
the unconditional love our Heavenly Father has for us with open arms
to forgive and welcome us back no matter what roads we have chosen.
He is waiting for our return
back into His grace and the peaceful knowledge that a Heavenly home
awaits us.

At the fireside in London, Merrill
talked about the patriarchal blessing given to him to help heal. I spoke
to Merrill afterwards and told him that I thought he gave out spiritual
healing sometimes during shows. He mentioned that years ago, all of the
Osmond family were called in to a room, sat around the table, by a senior
member of the Mormon church and told they were called on to a lifetime
mission never to be released.

I keep remembering the London
Fireside! Troy, Wayne and Merrill were speaking so openly and emotionally,
right from the heart, which was a bit of a 'culture shock' for us Brits!
I've never seen anyone display their love of God that openly in the
churches I've attended. Since the London Fireside, I have found a renewed
energy to discover and learn more about my relationship with God.

Merrill, I
have said and will say it again.....you are a "deep and reflective
man"....and even saying that, I know I'm coming up short in describing who
you are. Your quote above reminds me of Psalm 118...trust in the
Lord...for He is good. His mercy endures forever!!! One of the most
difficult things in life is to "let go, let God"....and accept with faith
that THY will be done....not MY will. (The Lords Prayer). As
someone who has seen the Lord answer my prayers in ways I had
never expected....I can honestly say that our Father in Heaven knows what
is best for me.
And -- maybe
I'm way off, but what I got from your entire letter was the hope
for peace. Peace within ourselves...for each other and for the world.

that my Mother although a diabetic now is still alive & with me God knows
I couldn't make it with out her she is all I have left in this world.
