HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007!
January 5, 2007

Hello, my Dear Friends

The past month I’ve seen many of you attending the Christmas shows in Branson, Missouri with my brothers and I’ve just returned from the UK performing Christmas shows and received a wonderful reception from everyone there. It’s been such a joy to visit with all of you both in Branson and in the UK. I’ve also received many wonderful messages through the website from those of you that are unable to travel. I am humbled as I receive messages from all over the world for the love of me and my family. Just know I love and appreciate all of you. Those of you that are able to attend the shows I love seeing your faces in the audience smiling and having a chance for a chat and a hug after the shows. I’m amazed that you would still come to see me and wait outside in the cold and rain after the shows. I’m truly a blessed man.

Each time a new year rolls around I find myself reflecting back over the year that I just completed and taking a look to see what I’ve accomplished and if I’ve been able to help make the world a better place to live. I challenge myself for the upcoming year as I challenge each of you to form associations with others that build you up and make the world a more peaceful place for all of us to live. I find myself looking at a new year as a hope of a brighter day and a renewed sprit that I get a chance to start anew and move forward to do the things that would bring glory go my Heavenly Father. I strive to move past the mishaps and reflect to see the changes that I need to make in the New Year.

I feel each year I’m given a new chance to learn from the past and do a better job uplifting my fellow brothers & sisters.  My challenge for each of you this year is to find one person that you can make a difference in their life. One person that you might spend more time listening to, giving more hugs, dropping a note of encouragement. Just the littlest things make a big difference in someone’s life. Just to know they are cared about and that someone is listening can make all the difference in someone’s life and you can be a part of making that happen. If you are holding grudges or someone has not treated you in the matter that you think they should have treated you. I say forgive them and move on. Life is too short to worry about what could have been. Let’s look forward in what we can do today to make this life all it can be.  I love you all and let’s make 2007 the best it can be.

 Your friend,

Merrill
